Short answer: Seed LiveInterpret 2.0 is a research model from ByteDance's Seed team: an end-to-end speech-to-speech simultaneous-interpretation system described in an academic paper, with a focus on Chinese–English. "Live interpret" is simply the plain-English name of the category: interpreting speech, live. ByteDance's researchers picked it for a model; we picked it for a product. Their work is genuinely impressive, and it proves the point our customers care about: real-time speech-to-speech AI interpretation is no longer science fiction. It runs every week in a Prague congregation on ordinary phones.
No. No affiliation, no shared technology. LiveInterpret.AI is an independent EU service; the translation models we use are documented in our privacy policy and DPA.
Not as a product: it's a research system, not a service with a sound-desk input, audience QR page, billing, or support. If that's what you need, that's literally what LiveInterpret.AI is; a full rehearsal is free.
