LiveVoice has real scale and a real hybrid offering: 150,000+ events run as of our 2026-07-30 research, and — unlike us — actual human interpreters available in the workflow alongside AI, which matters for events where interpretation quality and accountability are non-negotiable. Their day-plans also make sense for a genuinely tiny one-off event: a small gathering under about 20 listeners for an hour or two can cost less on LiveVoice's €8/day LIGHT plan than committing to one of our packs, as long as the AI-minute add-on stays small. And their brand carries real recognition across the DACH market.
LiveVoice's AI translation is a pay-as-you-go add-on stacked on top of a capacity-priced plan fee: €0.42 per minute per language, before the plan itself. Our metered rate works out to ≈€0.127 per minute per language at our entry pack (lower at higher tiers), audio and captions both included — more than three times cheaper on the AI-translation line alone, before LiveVoice's plan fee is added at all. We also never price by listener count: a packed Sunday or a sold-out event costs exactly what a quiet one does. Whitelabel branding is included from €99/month with a custom domain, versus LiveVoice's SMART tier and up (from €324/month) with no published custom domain option. And on a phone specifically, our audience never touches an app store: everything runs in the browser via QR code, audio included, even with the screen locked — LiveVoice's own instructions point mobile listeners to an app download first.
This is the clearest way to compare the two pricing shapes on a real number (LiveVoice figure verified 2026-07-30 against their capacity-based day pricing for 100 participants): LiveInterpret.AI costs a flat €49 Event pack (240 of 450 minutes used, 210 left over, valid 12 months). LiveVoice costs approximately €162.80 — a €62 capacity fee for ~100 participants on the LIGHT day-plan, plus 240 language-minutes of AI translation at €0.42/minute (€100.80). Add live captions on LiveVoice and the AI line grows further at €0.16/minute/language on top. Scale either example to your own attendee count and run time before you commit — that's the actual comparison, not the headline day-rate.
The event math above is the one-off case. Most churches book the same day every week, and LiveVoice doesn't publish a monthly total for that — their plans are priced per day. 180 language-minutes/Sunday = 90 minutes × 2 languages; 720 minutes/month across 4 Sundays. LiveVoice's capacity fee is charged per day booked, per their published day-plan pricing — a weekly service books that day plan every week. This is our arithmetic on their public rates, not a quote from LiveVoice; ask them directly for a recurring-use quote before deciding, since they may price repeat bookings differently.
If human interpreters are part of your plan, LiveVoice's hybrid model is a legitimate reason to choose them — we don't offer that and won't pretend to. If you want AI-only translation at a price you can compute yourself in advance, model your expected listeners, languages and run time on both, ask LiveVoice for the exact capacity-adjusted number in writing, and run a Thursday soundcheck on ours: practice mode is free and unlimited, and the first 30 real minutes cost nothing.

Model your own numbers rather than trust either headline price.

LiveVoice's own how-it-works page (checked 2026-09-04) tells mobile listeners to "download the app," and offers browser join mainly for computers, though it also says people "can also join LiveVoice via web browser." LiveInterpret.AI is browser-only on every device, including phones, and keeps translated audio playing when the screen locks — something LiveVoice's own materials don't describe for mobile browser users.

Then LiveVoice is worth a serious look — their core product is a human interpreter workflow with AI translation as an add-on, which is a different (and in some cases better-suited) product than ours. We are AI-only: no human interpreters in the loop, ever. If accountability for a sensitive or high-stakes message matters more than price or setup speed, professional human interpretation — through LiveVoice or otherwise — is the honest recommendation.
